We’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions about staying at Tree Space. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for here, feel free to contact us directly.
1. Where is Tree Space located?
Tree Space is nestled under giant beech trees near Hindhead, Surrey, approximately an hour from London. It’s easily accessible via the A3 and is a short drive from Haslemere train station.
2. How do I get to Tree Space?
You can reach Tree Space by car via the A3. If you’re taking public transport, Haslemere station is the closest, about 5 miles away. From there, you can take a taxi or arrange for pick-up. Walking or cycling from the station is also an option—around a 45-minute walk. We’ll provide detailed directions once your booking is confirmed.
3. What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in: 3:00 PM onwards

Check-out: By 12:00 PM
If you need an earlier check-in or later check-out, please let us know in advance. We’ll try to accommodate your request if possible.
4. What amenities are available at Tree Space?
The cabin is fully equipped with:

We provide bed linen, towels, and basic toiletries.
5. Is Wi-Fi available at the cabin?
Wi-Fi is available in the cabin. However, in keeping with the essence of Tree Space retreats, we invite you to disconnect and immerse yourself in the natural surroundings (you can switch off the Wi-Fi if you wish). Mobile signal is available for most major networks if needed.
6. Is Tree Space pet-friendly?
Pets are not permitted at Tree Space unless specifically arranged with us in advance. Please contact us if you have a special request regarding pets.
7. What should I bring for my stay?
We suggest bringing:

Comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes for walking or cycling

Any personal items, such as toiletries, you may need

Food and beverages (while there are shops nearby, it’s a good idea to stock up before arrival so you can stay cocooned during your stay if desired)
We provide essentials like bed linen, towels, bath products, and basic kitchen supplies.
8. What activities are available in the area?
Tree Space is located near several scenic areas ideal for walking, hiking, or cycling, including:

Nearby villages such as Haslemere, Grayshott, Midhurst, and Petworth offer charming shops, cafés, and cultural attractions.
9. What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 30 days before your stay will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made between 14-30 days before the stay will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before your stay are non-refundable.

10. Can I book Tree Space for a retreat or special experience?
Yes! Tree Space can be booked as a retreat space, and you can work with Nic, the owner, or other wellbeing and complementary health practitioners during your stay. These sessions are bespoke, curated to your unique needs, and arranged at the time of booking.
11. Is smoking allowed at Tree Space?
Tree Space is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted inside the cabin, but guests may smoke outside in designated areas. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.
12. Are children allowed at Tree Space?
Tree Space is primarily designed as a peaceful retreat for adults. If you’d like to bring a child, please contact us in advance to discuss arrangements.
13. What is the “feel of Africa” that you mention in the décor?
Tree Space was inspired by the low-impact lodges of the Okavango Delta, Botswana, where Nic worked on safaris. The décor and atmosphere reflect a connection to nature and simplicity, with earthy tones and natural materials, offering a unique experience that brings a “touch of Africa” to Surrey.
14. Is there parking available?
Yes, there is free on-site parking available for guests.
15. Can I bring my bike?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your bike. The surrounding area is excellent for cycling, with direct access to trails from the cabin.
16. What happens if there’s bad weather during my stay?
Tree Space is well-prepared for a range of weather conditions. The cabin is fully insulated and equipped with heating, so you’ll stay warm and comfortable. However, please note that the area can get muddy or slippery in wet conditions, so do bring appropriate footwear for outdoor activities.
17. How do I book a stay at Tree Space?
